JAMES EARL BURKETT

Mulhearn Funeral Home - Sterlington Road, Monroe


Private services for Mr. James Earl Burkett, 74, of Monroe, will be Friday, 
March 4, 2005, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mau soleum Chapel, with Dr. Harry 
Boyd, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under 
the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Ster lington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Burkett, a retired Person nel Manager for Troy and Nich ols Mortgage 
Company, died Sunday, February 27, 2005, at his residence. He was a Korean 
Conflict Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Oglesbee Burkett of Monroe; sons and daugh 
tersinlaw, Mike and Donna Burkett and Mark and Kim Burkett; grandsons, Terry 
Burkett, Garett Burkett and Cameron Burkett, all of Alpine, CA; stepsons, 
Renny Gilliland of Monroe and Chris Gilliland of Longview, TX; stepdaughter, 
Angie Parker of Monroe; sisters and brothersinlaw, Jerry and O.J. Wiles of 
Rayville, LA and Joan and Dennis Huffman of Houma, LA; stepgrandsons, Seth 
Parker of Monroe and Cade Gilliland of Longview, TX; stepgranddaughters, Mindy 
Gilliland, Christan Gilliland, Chandler Gilliland and Taylor Gilliland all of 
Longview, TX; and two close friends who were like a sister and brother, Betty 
and Ken Rogers .
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2005, at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Mon roe. Memorials may be made to 
Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
