ROBERT F. BURKETT

Funeral services for Robert F. Burkett, Sr., 91, of West Monroe, LA will be 
held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, 
Rayville with Bro. Dean Roy and Sis. Shirley Davidson officiating. Interment 
will follow in the Antioch Cemetery, Eros, LA.

Robert was born May 15, 1926 in Monroe, LA and passed away Thursday, June 
08, 2017, in Rayville, LA.

Mr. Robert is preceded in death by his beautiful and loving wife, Opal 
Burkett; parents, Fred and Blanche Burkett; brothers, James E. Burkett, 
Herbert Burkett, Jackie Burkett, Ronnie Burkett, and Johnny Burkett; and 
sister, Lois Dehart.

Survivors include his children, Robert F. Burkett, Jr. and wife, Ann of 
Chester, S.C., Burt L. Burkett of West Monroe, and Patricia D. Burkett Roy 
and husband, Dean of Start; grandchildren, Karen Howard, Wendy Griffin, and 
Scotty Burkett; great grandchildren, Lannie Burkett, Elizabeth Griffin, and 
Grier Howard; numerous nieces and nephews; special nieces that were like his 
grandchildren, Janice Sherman and Theresa Green.

A special thank you to Tracy and Edna Martin.

Pallbearers are Steve Roy, Larry Miller, Dean Roy, Chris Nezat, and Dow 
Young. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Moore and Tracy Martin.

Visitation is 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Saturday at Brown-Holley Funeral 
Chapel.
