BETTY GILLEY BURNETT

Funeral services for Betty Gilley Burnett, 68, of West Monroe, LA will be held 
at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home, West Monroe with Rev. Randy Lee officiating. Interment will follow at 
Luna Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West 
Monroe.

Betty passed away Sunday morning at her home surrounded by her family and 
friends. She was born September 18, 1945 to the parents of Frederick M. Gilley 
and Betty Heffinger Gilley in Anderson, South Carolina. Betty wed her best 
friend Daniel Leon Burnett on July 16, 1968 in Morehouse Parish. Betty and 
Daniel made a home in West Monroe where they raised their children, Toby, 
Cliff and Monty. She was preceded in death by by her husband, Daniel Barnett, 
and her parents, Frederick M. and Betty Heffinger Gilley.

Betty is survived by her sons; Monty Burnett and his wife April, Cliff Burnett 
and wife Sharee and Toby Burnett; sister, Susan Vinson; niece, Heather Willis 
and husband Richard; grandchildren, Blake, Brooke, Molly, Bryce, Bayle, Tyler 
and Reeanne. Through Betty's many medical illnesses, her daughter-in-law, 
April Burnett, was her caretaker and confidant. Betty will be loved and missed 
for many years to come. Rest well, Betty Lou.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Lindsay, Ronnie Mullins, Joey Crawford, Richard 
Willis, Brent Mceacharn, and Gerald Byrd.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
