STEVEN RAY BURNEY

Funeral services for Steven Ray Burney, 24, of Conway, AR will be held at 11:00 
AM Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Monroe with Rev. 
Craig West and Rev. Eddie Rhymes officiating. Interment will follow at Harris 
Cemetery in Bastrop, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home 
Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Mr. Burney was born on November 4, 1988, and passed away Saturday, February 9, 
2013, at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR following a motorcycle 
accident.

Steven was a member of the Monroe's First Baptist Church and a graduate of 
Ouachita High School. He was working toward a degree in computer science at the 
University of Central Arkansas where he was considered best in his class. 
Steven was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a true believer in 
his Lord Jesus Christ and demonstrated his faith through his character and the 
positive impact he made on everyone he knew. Steven will be greatly missed by 
his loved ones and friends. 

Mr. Burney was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. R. David Terry; great 
grandparents, J.L. and Velma Terry; Lewis and Bobbie Burney, Eldon and Wilma 
Fadely; great grandmother, Isibelle Washburn and great grandfather, Luther J. 
Free.

Survivors include his wife, Courtney Burney; son, Cayden Ray Burney; parents, 
Damon Burney and Karen Terry Burney; sister, Allison Burney; maternal 
grandmother, Frances F. Terry; paternal grandparents, Bob and Velda Burney; 
uncle, Michael David Terry and wife Amanda; cousins, David and Abigail Terry; 
aunt and uncle, Greg and Teresa Burney and their children, Caleb Burney and 
wife Jennifer and daughter, Keri Yee, Krista Burney, Moreen Morton, and Cori 
Morton; grandfather-in-law, Woodrow Wilson Adams, Jr.; grandmother-in-law, 
Wanda Adams; father-in-law, Woodrow "Chip" Wilson Adams, III; favorite canine 
companion, "Willow; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Matt Hart, J.J. Oglesby, Kent Arrington, William Arrington, 
Chris Allums, and Kevin Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Mayo, Jimmy 
L. Terry, Jr., John Mazziotti, and UCA classmates and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 
the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Chase Bank into an account set up for his medical 
expenses and family.
