Mike Staples officiating. Hank Staples sang "Amazing Grace" and "Beulah Land." Tarah was born in Huntsville, AL on April 1, 1961 and passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital following a brief illness. She graduated from West Monroe High School where she was a Rebel Raider. She received both BBA and MBA degrees from Northeast Louisiana University, where she was co-captain of the Warbonnets and a member of the Ten Little Indians. She also earned a Master's in Telecommunications Management from Golden Gate University. At the time of her death, she was working as a high level U. S. Air Force Civilian for United States Cyber Command, Department of Defense at Fort Mead, MD. During her career, she served as Vice Director for the Applied Technology Unit for the Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations in Arlington, VA and for the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization at Scott Air Force Base, IL. She received numerous awards during her 27-year career. She also received awards for volunteer work helping with the Gulf War military families and with a literacy program. She was a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Tarah was an avid "Roll Tide" fan and an accomplished pianist. She was preceded in death by her father, Connella Busbice. She is survived by her mother, Jeweldine Busbice of West Monroe, LA; her sister Pam Watson and husband, Tom of Milton, FL; nephew, Jimm Patterson and wife Sara and their two children, Reagan and Wyatt of Tallahassee, FL, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Serving as pallbearers were: Jimmy Wyatt, Jody Wyatt, Jeff Wyatt, Trevor Hall, Jordan Wyatt and Collin Hall. Tarah was a very caring and giving person and will be missed greatly by those whose lives she touched. Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home, Jonesboro, LA.
