She was born to the Union of Arlo and Lucy Whitlock on October 15, 1938 along with her twin brother, Everett. She was raised up in the West Monroe area attending grade school at Lenwil Elementary and later graduating high school at West Monroe High. Carolyn was always a busy person, seeing to the needs of her family and others as well. She loved to cook for the various events that took place at her home and other places. You could never come by her house without there being something in the pot ready to eat and quite delicious. Carolyn liked to be outside working in her yard caring for all the flowers and shrubs that were there.
