BRTLETT (Sic) Milton C. BARTLETT, Sr. died on 21 October 1959 DELHI (Special) Rites are set for Milt. C. Bartlett, 75, who died Wednesday evening at his residence in Rayville following a stroke while squirrel hunting. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the chapel of Gay’s Funeral Home in Delhi, with the Rev. Peter Denui, assisted by the Rev. Oliver Poutney. Interment will be in the Hasley Cemetery, under the direction of Gay’s Funeral Home. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Maybelle Bartlett, Rayville; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline White, West Monroe; two sons, M. C. Bartlett, Jr, Rayville; C. L. Bartlett, Battle (sic) Station, Kentucky; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Jones, Jonesboro; one brother, Lee homa (sic); and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Cupp, Lenard McDonald, Edward Earl Lockwood, Buell Currie, Clifton Sorey, Herbert Sorey. Comment: In the fourth paragraph, the name Battle Station should be Valley Station, a suburb of Louisville, KY. In the same paragraph, his brother’s name and place of residence got mixed together. It should read "...one brother, Lee Bartlett, Oklahoma."
