CALDWELL Funeral services for William L. "Buddy" Caldwell, 91, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 14, 2012, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Wesley Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA. Mr. Caldwell was a member of Brown Paper Mill Harmonica Band and a member of the Masonic Lodge #419 and a 32nd Degree Mason. He served six years in the United States Airforce during WWII as a bombardier. He retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers. Mr. Caldwell was a devoted husband and a proud grandpa, and a true patriot of the cross and the flag, who was always glad that you were able to see him. Now and forever may he rest in the sweet by and by. Mr. Caldwell is preceded in death by his parents, "Doll" and Lucille Caldwell, brother, Robert Caldwell, step-son Gordon Smith all of West Monroe, and sister, Louise Trautmann of Brick, New Jersey. Survivors include his wife of 65 years Hazel Caldwell; daughter, Frances Roberson and husband Sam; grandchildren, Jason Roberson and his wife Katie and Craig Roberson and his wife Kimberley and; great granddaughter, Evie Roberson. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Roberson, Craig Roberson, Allen Smith, Troy Smith, Peter Smith and Steven Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Fitzgerald, Joe Lambert and members of his Sunday school class at Trinity Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday November 13, 2012 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
