DOLAN LEE CALK

Services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 8801 
Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA for Mr. Dolon Calk, age 94, of Shreveport, on 
Saturday, June 27, 2015. Officiating will be Rev. John Harp, Associate Pastor 
of Brookwood Baptist Church and assisting will be Rev. Tim Hogue. Mr. Calk was 
a member of Haynes Avenue for over 50 years. Interment will be at Centuries 
Memorial Park.

Mr. Calk entered into rest Monday, June 22, 2015. He was a native of 
Spearsville, LA. He was a World War II veteran and he retired from the military 
service in 1962.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ela Dean Calk. He is survived by two 
sons, Steven Ray Calk and wife Linda and Ronald Wayne Calk and wife Phyllis; 
five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great great-
grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.

We want to especially thank Shirley Procell, Diane Newton and Sue Quinney for 
so lovingly watching out for and attending to "Uncle Dolon" after "Aunt Dean" 
died. We also want to thank "The Oaks" retirement facility for their concern 
and care for our father in his final years.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Josh Calk, Jeremy Calk, Jeff 
Calk, Andrew Hogue, Jacob Hogue and Clint Hogue.

Visitation will be 12 noon until 2:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2015 with the 
funeral service following immediately after visitation.
