CAMP Osborn Funeral HOME Shreveport, LA Mr. Pete L. Camp, 79, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. followed by a vigil service at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 14th, at Osborn Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 15, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Charles Glorioso. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Sacred Heart Church, in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Camp was born on December 4, 1928 in Texarkana, TX. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and President of the North Shreveport Swim Club for 21 years. Mr. Camp was employed in the dental industry for over 50 years with Patterson Dental Companies. He cherished the many friendships he developed throughout the years in the dental business. He was especially known for his humorous personality. Mr. Camp was a loving family man and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (Patsy) Dupre' Camp; their three sons, Pete J. Camp and wife, Stacey, Cary D. Camp and wife, Diane and Randal P. Camp and wife, Maura; seven grandchildren, Connor, Katie, Cannon, Hailey, Mallory, Ainsley and Emily; and one great grandchild, Allyson Chandler. He is also survived by his sister, Frances Camp; and friend of the family, Pam Camp. Pallbearers in Shreveport will be Connor Camp, Cannon Camp, Dut LeBlanc, Barry Gugliuzza, Doug Whittington, Randy Patton, Dr. Benny Popwell and Philip Cockrell. Pallbearers in Texarkana will be Jim Rochelle, Shack Rochelle, Gerry Guillot, Bryant Guillot, Michael Guillot and Rusty Felps. Honorary pallbearers will be Max Bauer, John Hyden, Dr. Jimmy Weyman, Dr. Richard Curry, David Ogwyn, Jim McGee and John A. Manno, Sr. The family requests memorials be made to the Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center, 1 Saint Mary Place, Shreveport, LA 71101 or St. Pius X Catholic Church, 4300 North Market, Shreveport, LA 71101.
