NAZARITA G. CANALES

Mrs. Nazarita G. Canales was welcomed into her heavenly Home on April 14, 
2014, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a homemaker, loving mother, 
grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. At her request, a private "Family 
Gathering" and memorial will be held later by her family.

Mrs. Canales was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Lionel H. 
Canales and son, George L. Canales, Sr.

Surviving family who will continue with Family Traditions are her two 
daughters, Gloria Alvarez and husband Gaston of West Monroe, LA; Lilia Boies 
and husband Glen of Mangham, LA; four sons, Lionel, Jr. and wife Sarah of 
Farmerville, LA; Manny and wife Marianna, Ben and wife Jeanetta; and Rene and 
wife Ruth all of West Monroe, LA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty nine great 
grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your church or favorite charity.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Ethel 
Amos, Alexis Patrick, Lillie Lauhoff, Patricia Johnson, and Glenda Spurrs; 
Gamble Hospice, St. Francis Medical Center 3rd floor and Pallative Care; 
Administration and Staff at Christus St. Joseph Assisted Living; and all of 
her attending physicians.
