FREDA BRISTER CANNON

Freda Brister Cannon, RN of Monroe, LA passed away on January 11, 2013 at St. 
Francis Hospital.

Freda was born on May 24, 1928 and graduated from St. Francis Nursing School 
in 1948. She was head of the blood bank at both St. Francis Hospital as well 
as Glenwood Hospital for over 20 years and later worked with Home Healthcare 
in West Monroe. Freda loved gardening and her dachshund Fritz.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings and husband Menier. 
She is survived by her son Daniel Menier Cannon, his wife Michelle, their two 
daughters, Windy and Lacey; and her daughter Catherine Cannon Norman, her 
husband James, their children Brienne and James Norman III, her husband Dr. 
Scott Shelby and their two children Amanda and Abigail. She is also survived 
by her sister in law, Edna S. Brister.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10am at Our Lady of 
Fatima.

Freda will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
