CLARENCE CAPLES

Funeral services for Clarence Caples will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, 
October 4, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church. Dr. Dennis Hensley will officiate. 
Interment with military honors will follow at Liberty Grove Church of God 
Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Clarence was born on September 12, 1930 in West Monroe and passed away on 
October 1, 2016 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Monroe. He 
was a retired Master Sergeant for the United States Air Force Reserve and a 
Staff Sergeant for the Army National Guard. He became a data processing 
supervisor for State Farm Insurance after 23 years of military service. 
Clarence was an avid hunter and fisherman that loved to raise blueberries. 
He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Caples; parents, Monroe and 
Iteria Caples; sister, Floy McMillon; brothers, Bobby Caples, Sr. and 
Charles Caples.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Lynn Caples; daughter, Renee Murray and 
husband George; step son, James B. Avant and wife, Mary; sisters, Sue Drost 
and husband Wendell and Ginger Hilburn and husband Larry; sister-in-law, Ann 
Caples; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of other 
family and friends.

In Honor of Clarence, pallbearers will be Bobby Caples, Jr., Ricky Caples, 
Zane Drost, Joe Drost, Todd Hilburn, Tommy Caples, and Dylan Caples. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Knight, Devon Knight, and Dennis 
Howard.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 3, 
2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
