At his request, no schedule service will be held. Mr. Carr was born June 22, 1944, to Lorraine Jefferson Carr and Carrie Bell Carr and spent his youth in Pistol Thicket, LA. Though he traveled across the world, Cowboy was a country man at heart. He loved to laugh and brought much happiness to the many who loved him in return. Mr. Carr was very proud of his service in the United States Army 4th Infantry Division during the Tet Offensive of 67 & 68. For his valiant service to his country, Mr. Carr earned two Purple Hearts, Combat Infantry Badge (CBI), Left handed Sharp Shooter, and many other awards too numerous to list. Mr. Carr is survived by his son, Shane Carr & his wife Tiffany; daughter, Debra Carr Delgado, her husband Carlos and their two daughters; son, James "Walnut" Carr, his wife Becky and their three sons; son, Matthew Carr, his wife Ashley and their daughter; the mother of his children, Virginia Lynn Kirkpatrick; brother, Jimmy L. Carr and his wife Rebecca; sister, Elaine Lowe and her husband Glen (his favorite brother-in-law) ; a host of nieces & nephews; and his special companion of ten years Evelyn "June" Farrell. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and his brother Charles Carr. His ashes will be interned at Mount Rose Cemetery in Grayson, LA.
