Tommy Rush officiating. Visitation will be held Friday November 5, 2004 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Burial will be in the Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. Mrs. Carter, age 75, of Natchitoches, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at her home in Natchitoches, 0She was a member of First Baptist Church in Natchitoches. She was a retired beautician in Natchitoches. She was a member of the American Orchid Society. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Harrison Foshee and Bessie Stalsby Foshee and one son, Ben Alan Carter She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David M. Carter; one daughter, Brenda Carter of Lufkin, Texas; one son, Ronald Carter and wife Beth of Natchitoches; three grandchildren: Crystal Dowden Magness and husband Erik of Natchitoches, Michael Louis Dowden and wife Patricia Hardy Dowden of Coushatta and Scott David Carter of Cookeville, Tennessee ; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Chase Magness, Cade Michael Magness, Ashley Claire Magness and Hardy Madison Dowden; one sister, Marie Catanese of Natchitoches; one niece, Linda Cockrell of Natchitoches; one daughter-in-law, Jean Scroggins Carter of Natchitoches and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Dowden, Scott Carter, Ronnie Dowden, Bobby Cockrell, Brent Cockrell and Brian Cockrell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, LA.
