Friday, April 11, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Dwight Munn and Randy Cottrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Cash was born in Oak Grove, LA on January 9, 1950 and passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence with her family at her side on April 9, 2014, after bravely battling a lengthy illness. Kittie was a retired School Teacher with the Monroe City School System, teaching at Carver Elementary. She loved teaching and spending time with her students. Mrs. Cash attended First Baptist Church West Monroe, LA. When she could not make it to church, she enjoyed watching First West services from home. Kittie loved gardening and being outdoors admiring everything God had created. "Meaux" as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren and loving on her K9 Companion, ZZ. Mrs. Cash is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, David Cash; daughter, Julie Cash; her parents, Dalford and Nora Davis; sister, Lillian St. Romain; and her grandson, Colton Cottrell. Survivors include her daughter, Cherice Cottrell and husband, Randy; son, Aaron Cash and wife, Paige. "Meaux" is also survived by her grandchildren, Kenneth "Kaje" Hasley, Jr., Annmarie Cash, Allyse Cash, Abby Cash, Cooper Cottrell and Jay Austin Cash; her beloved sister, Wilhelmina Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Pallbearers will be Petey Raymond, Richard Cottrell, Johnny Fleming, Flint Smith, Tommy Goleman, Kenneth "Kaje" Hasley, Jr., Caleb Smith and Connor Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Easterling, Vernon Cottrell and Johnny Hagins. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
