Cason, 95, of West Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mr. Cason was born November 3, 1913 in West Monroe, LA to Nina Tippit and Edgar Douglas Cason and passed away on October 14, 2009 in West Monroe. Mr. Cason graduated from Louisiana State University in 1932 where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon, and served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and as a Major in the Reserves. He was married to Florence Barron Cason of Winchester, Massachusetts on April 25, 1943. Mr. Cason's professional career spanned 35 years as an accountant with Exxon Corporation. He retired in New Orleans, LA in 1974 and moved back home to West Monroe in 1975 transferring his letter of membership to First United Methodist Church - West Monroe where his family had been charter members. Charles Cason is survived by his wife of 66 years Florence Barron Cason, and his five children, Suzanne Morrison of Houston, TX, Yvonne Centanni of Kingwood, TX, Emelyn Stalnaker of Kingwood, TX, Charlene Guillory of Houston, TX and Robert C. Cason of Studio City, CA. Mr. Cason is survived by six grandchildren, Karen Packer of Lewsiville, TX, David Morrison of Spring, TX, Sam Centanni of Houston, TX, Doug Centanni of Houston, TX, Karrie Stalnaker of Kingwood, TX and Kristin Stalnaker of Kingwood, TX and seven great-grandchildren, Courtney Packer of Lewisville, TX, MacKenzie Packer of Lewisville, TX, Kaylee Packer of Lewisville, TX, Maggie Morrison of Spring, TX, Hailey Morrison of Spring, TX, Luke Centanni of Houston, TX and Emma Centanni of Houston, TX. Mr. Cason was an avid hunter and fisherman in his youth - and a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.
