Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Castleberry will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Bonita Road Baptist Church with Reverends Marty Black and Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in the Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 at the church. Margaret Lauranoff Castleberry was born November 9, 1922 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Mike Lauranoff and Abigail French Lauranoff. She died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. Mrs. Castleberry was a full time homemaker and a charter member of the Bonita Road Baptist Church. She was loved greatly by all who knew her and will be fondly remembered for her card ministry; sending birthday and anniversary cards to her family, church members, and friends. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, J.T. "Sam" Castleberry of Log Cabin, Louisiana; a daughter, Donna Bryant of West Monroe; five sons, Mike Cote and wife Sue of Bastrop, Pat Cote and wife Linda of Bastrop, Joel Castleberry and wife Betty of Beekman, Louisiana, James Castleberry and wife Juanita of Georgetown, South Carolina, Richard Castleberry and wife Susan of Bastrop; two brothers, Tommy Lauranoff of Start, Louisiana, Pete Lauranoff of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons and Dr. Carter Cox. The family would like to extend a special "thank-you" to Dr. Carter Cox and his staff along with the nurses and staff at Morehouse General Hospital for their care and compassion extended to our wife, mother, and family.
