Jon Tellifero officiating. Lyle was born August 22, 1955 in New Orleans and passed away April 29, 2015 while away at work in New Orleans of a sudden heart attack. Lyle had battled diabetes and heart disease for several years. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mona Centola. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Laura Liner Centola; son Jordan Centola and daughter Melissa Centola. Lyle is also survived by his four brothers and two sisters: Larry Centola, Kenny Centola and wife Edna, Michael Centola and wife Tanya, Tommy Centola and wife Peggy, Sheila Centola Bianco and husband Anthony, and Judy Centola Ridge and husband Darrell. Other survivors include his godchild, Denise Centola Crais; and special aunt, Ann Hanks Hart; father-in-law, J.C. "Dinky" Liner, and brother-in-laws, Jeff Liner and Conway Liner and his wife, Leah; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many very dear friends. Lyle graduated from De LaSalle High School in New Orleans where he was the State Wrestling Champion. He attended LSU where he majored in business and history. After college, Lyle began his 40+ year journey into a profession that he loved and was his passion. He was an entertainment production manager, site coordinator and rigger. He started out working on classic tours such as Keith Richards and the New Barbarians, Barry Manilow, Neil Young (one of his favorites), Paul Simon, Dan Fogelberg, Rod Stewart, Crosby, Nash and Young, Yes and The Rolling Stones only to name a few. He was also long-time member of the support team for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. Lyle helped organize and stage major events ranging from Super Bowl Halftime shows to a Veteran's Day college basketball game held on the deck of an aircraft carrier. Lyle was a very loving and caring person who had a passion for life and the New York Yankees. His family and friends were his pride and joy. Honorary pallbearers are Lou Martello, Jeff Liner, Max Loubiere and Bobby Thrasher. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association .
