CHAPMAN Funeral Services for Mr. William Samuel "Bill" Chapman Jr., 71, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Danny McIlveene and Rev. Larry Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mr. Chapman was born on December 24, 1940 and passed away at his residence with his family at his side on January 11, 2012. Mr. Chapman was a member of Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. He was a retired pipeliner with the local #406, traveling all over the world. Mr. Chapman was an avid gardener, sharing what he had produced with everyone that he knew. He was a member of the West Monroe Masonic Lodge # 419, Monroe Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star and also DAV. He loved his family very much. Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 52 years, Patricia Weldon Chapman; daughters, Susan Chapman Barnes and husband, Mark of Eldorado, AR and Deborah Chapman Harper and husband, Kevin of Dickson, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Barnes Shoup and husband, Jeremy, John Matthew Barnes and wife, Nikki, Jennifer Harper Williams and husband, Josh, and William Kenneth Harper and wife, Candace; great grandchildren, Trace Shoup, Lorali Barnes, Weldon Williams, Jackson Harper, and Thatcher Shoup. Mr. Chapman's nephews will serve as pallbearers, Wesley F. "Buster" Chapman, Alton Chapman, James Lonnie Edwards, Roy Wayne Chapman, Kirby Chapman and Jay William Chapman. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Memorials may be made to the Monroe Scottish Rite or to the Community Baptist Church Building Fund.
