Farrar Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Funeral services for William Bennie Chapman Jr., age 60, of Rocky Branch, LA will be held at 2:30PM Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at Rocky Branch with Rev. Ryan Chapman, Rev. Aleck Nyegaard and Rev. Michael Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. Chapman was born on Oct. 22, 1948 and passed away Mar. 5, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. He worked at IMC and Angus in Sterlington until becoming disabled. Bennie enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his parents: W. B. "Dawkins" and Lucy M. Chapman and his daughter, Kelly Denise Chapman. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Judy Chapman of Rocky Branch; one daughter, Amy Lea and husband Keith Young of Millbrook, AL; one son, Doug Bentley Chapman and wife Jessica of Rocky Branch; three grandchildren: Chelsea Chapman, Jacob Young and Daniel Young; two sisters: Shirley and husband J. C. Honeycutt and Bea Chapman, all of Rocky Branch. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be: Paul Chapman, Dickie Chapman, Lucien Savage, Tony Williams, Bill Phillips, Steven Malone, Larry Seffens, Willie Pierre, Huey Tatum, Conrad Blanchard, James "Peanut" Wells, Johnny Dunn and Jimmy Chapman. Honorary pallbearers will be Durwood Waldrop, Charles Tullos, Jay Crain, Pat Bryan, Clyde Barkley and Herman Lujan. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville and from 1:00 PM until service time on Sunday at the church.
