MARY DONNIS HARDY CHAMBOLA CHAVERS


Donnis was born December 12, 1936 and passed away peacefully on August 26, 
2012 at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe. She was 75 years old.

From the birth of her first granddaughter, she became "Nanny", and for the 
rest of her life, that is the name most people called her. She worked at the 
Twin City Vet Supply of West Monroe for more than 25 years. She enjoyed 
reading, quilting, planting flowers and bird-watching. She loved her family 
and spent all of her time with them. She is survived by one sister, Jean 
Burkett in Farmerville, 5 children- Amelia Cowart and husband, James; Mike 
Chambola and wife Suzette; Mary Jo Finley and husband Kenneth Sr.; Joey 
Chambola and wife Debbie; and Barbie Strickland and husband George; 14 
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Minnie 

McDaniel Hardy of Rayville, four siblings, Bernice Gammill of Rayville, 
Mildred Idom of West Monroe, Jerrell Hardy of Rayville, and Bobby Hardy of 
Rayville.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Finley, Jr., Shane McMullen, Adam Chambola, Daniel 
Chambola, Jake Rodriguez and Daren Richey.

Services for Donnis will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday August 31, 2012 at 
Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbia, LA under the direction of Griffin 
Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at 
Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe. Interment will follow services at the 
Fellowship Cemetery in Columbia ,LA.
