BARBARA JEAN CHILDRESS

Memorial services celebrating the life of Barbara Jean Childress will be held 
at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2014, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Belah, 
La. under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Jena.

Mrs. Childress, 74, of Olla, was born December 11, 1939 in Monroe, La. and 
passed from this life on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at her residence. She was a 
homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and sister that will be deeply missed 
by those that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gilbert Childress, Sr. and 
parents, Auda Hillman and Mary Lee Atkinson Meador.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, James Childress, Jr. and 
Donald Wayne Childress, both of Olla; daughters, Alice "Sissy" Breithaupt of 
Columbia and Anita Childress of Olla; brothers, Buddy Meador of Monroe, Donald 
Meador of West Monroe and Johnny Meador of Houston, TX; sister, Margaret 
Fontana of Monroe; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
