GUENTER (CHRIS) CHRISTIAN

Funeral services for GySgt. Guenter (Chris) Christian, 69, of Monroe will be at
2:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at North Monroe Baptist Church Chapel with
Rev. Johnny Funderburg officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial
Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA.

GySgt. Christian was born on October 5, 1944 in Wurzburg, Germany and passed
away on January 13, 2014 in Monroe, LA. He was retired from USMC after 22 years
and retired from U. S. Postal Service with 20 years of service. He was the
Finance Officer of Amvets Post 66. He enjoyed helping others and taking care of
his family and friends, woodworking and was an excellent cook. He was preceded
in death by his mother, Elsa Christian.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Christian; daughter, Tammy Esswein and husband,
Scott; son, Tim Christian; grandsons, Cody Robinson and fiancé, Samantha
McManus, and Chase Robinson; father, John Christian of Savannah, GA; brother,
Franke Christian and wife, Joy of Savannah GA; sisters, Nancy Chambless and
husband, Jimmy of Atlanta, TX and Carla Godwin of Black Creek, GA.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service of 2:00 PM, Thursday,
January 16, 2014 at North Monroe Baptist Church Chapel.

Pallbearers will be officers of Amvets Post 66: Gary Stuart, Greg Welch, John
Harrell, Sr., Wess Platt, Gerald Walters, and special friend, Charles Hill.
