MARGIE PURDY CLAMPIT


West Monroe - Funeral services for Margie Purdy Clampit will be 10:00 A.M., 
Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West 
Monroe. Pastor Richard Crockett and Retired Ouachita Parish Fire Chief Don 
Nugent will officiate. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery. Visitation 
will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Margie was born April 10, 1941 in Calhoun, LA and passed away on December 30, 
2017 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Calhoun Assembly and a retired 
secretary for Ouachita Parish Fire Department. Margie loved her daughters, 
grandson and extended family, and working in her yard very much. She is 
preceded in death by her husband, Vertis Clampit; parents, Grady and Frances 
Purdy; brothers, Pete Purdy and James Purdy; sister, Floye Reppond.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Wendy Clampit Poole and Cindy Clampit; 
grandson, Taylor Poole; sisters, June Purdy Wells, Hazel Crocker and husband J. 
N.; brothers, Glenn Purdy and wife Inge, Gerald Purdy and wife Diane; special 
friend, Carrol Joiner and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
