Riser Funeral Home Columbia, LA Services for LeRoy Clark, Sr, age 92 of Hebert will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2008 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. C.R. Martin officiating and Brian Hall will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Hebert Cemetery in Hebert. Visitation will be Thursday evening at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia from 4:00 P. M. to 9:00 P. M. Mr. Clark was born in Hebert on October 24, 1915 to the union of Abner and Annie Franklin Clark and passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. He was a lifelong resident of the Hebert Community, where he farmed for 62 years. He was a recognized Louisiana Cotton farmer and honored in 2007 by the Governor as Louisiana's oldest farmer. He was blessed to have been able to bring in his 2008 crop before his passing. He was a former storeowner in Columbia. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 68 years; Willie Mildred Womack Clark, four brothers; Sherrel Clark, Sherman Clark, Aubry Clark, and Arvil Clark, and four sisters; Cornelious May, Mildred Patton, Dottie "Sissy" Clark and Irby Derby. Survivors include his son; LeRoy Clark, Jr and his wife, Irene of Hebert, daughter; Annette McGuffee and her husband, Kirby of Columbia, six grandchildren; Roy Clark III, Barbara Hall and her husband, Brian, Jennifer Fuller and her husband, Jimbo, Billie Reid and her husband, Autry all of Hebert, Tyler Lawrence and her husband, Jacob and Mattie K. McGuffee all of Monroe, nine great grandchildren; Jess Hall and his wife, Jessica, Annie Hall, Hilary Weeks and her husband, Caleb, Heather Reid, Hope Reid, Jeffery Fuller, Sara Fuller, Kevin Fuller and his wife, Jessi and Justin Fuller and his wife, Sarie and three great great grandchildren; Halli Weeks, Jade Fuller and Justin Fuller, Jr. Pallbearers will be Jess Hall, Jacob Lawrence, Autry Reid, Caleb Weeks, Jeffrey Fuller and Kevin Fuller. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Dyer, Sonny Dyer, Drew Keahey, Shane Hart and Rusty Davis.
