CLARK Funeral services for John William Clark, Jr., of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 10, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, Monroe, with Dr. Lynn Malone and Rev. J. Roddy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Mr. Clark died Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at his residence. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sunday School Teacher for 50 years, a lay speaker and a former youth director. Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a self-employed investment counselor for 47 years. He graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and Northeast Louisiana State College. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, John William Clark Sr. and Euna Bevel Clark; brother, George D. Clark; first wife, Patricia Riggs Clark. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hanna Clark; children, Gail Clark Parker and husband Randy, Susan Clark Smith and husband Gregory, Mark David Clark and wife Heather; grandchildren, Timothy Patrick Smith and wife Ashley, Rachel Roxanne Clark, Ainsley Erin Clark; sisters-in-law, Anne Hanna McKay, Sue Ellen Hanna West and husband James, and Toni Clark Barkley; nephew, Barrett Russell Clark. Pallbearers will be Randy Parker, Gregory Smith, Timothy Smith, James West, Barrett Clark and William Savage. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Sweeney and the Men's Bible Class at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Monroe, LA.
