EDWIN CLIFTON

Funeral services for Edwin "Cliff" Clifton, Sr., 76, of Collinston, will be 
held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Dennis Hackler officiating. 
Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Clifton died Thursday, June 08, 2017, at his residence with his loving 
family by his side. He was the owner of Advanced Heat and Air of Bastrop. 
Cliff was a man of great faith; he loved his church family at Cherry Ridge 
Baptist Church in Bastrop. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved 
music and always said never marry a woman who doesn't like music. Cliff 
loved taking care of his yard and flowers. He was a friend to many.

Mr. Clifton was preceded in death by his daughter, Marisa (Rocky) Clossner; 
his parents, Edwin and Annie Clifton; 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Marilyn; two daughters, Shirley 
(Timmy) Bush and Chrisy Clifton; two sons, Cliff, Jr. (Misty), Kevin Minyard 
(Johni); son-in-law, J.R. Clossner; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-
grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Clifton, Jordan Clifton, Hunter Minyard, Kermit 
Russell, Roger Brixey, and J. R. Clossner.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and 
Aime Hospice Care.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Center.
