MARY ANN COATES

Mary Ann "Janis" Coates (Jenson) was born to Fannie Mae and the late Rufus 
Jenson in Monroe, LA. On April 6, 2015, God sent his angels of mercy to bring 
Mary home into eternal rest. While we all know that she is in a better place, 
she will be sorely missed. Mary accepted Christ at a very young age at her 
childhood church, True Vine Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.

Mary was a graduate of Richwood High School in the class of 1974. While living 
in Monroe, Mary was employed with Ouachita Day Care and Faces Lounge.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Rufus Jenson, and sister, Ruby "Tiny" 
Harris.

Mary is survived by her loving mother, Fannie Mae Jenson of Monroe, LA; her 
long-time partner William Hall of Monroe, LA; five children, Corey Jenson of 
New Orleans, LA; Ericka Stewart of Temple, TX; Jerry (Jakesha) Coates of 
Killeen, TX; Aquariaus (Ronald) Boast of Leesville, LA; and Chenderquieter 
Coates of Killeen, TX. She is survived by twelve grandchildren: Brattany, 
JaQuez, Shay, QuaTeshia, Karli, Averianna, Dejah, Jeremiah, Ronald II, Joshua, 
Rylee, and Jakeria; two great grandchildren: Imani and Demani; three sisters: 
Linda Jenson, Diane Jenson, Angela Murphy, all of Monroe, LA; one special 
nephew, Tino Harris of Monroe, LA; one special friend, Ricky Clemons, Sr. and a 
host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held at Kilpatrick's Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, in Monroe, 
LA from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, April 10, 2015. The funeral will take place at 
the same location on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 12:00 noon, with the burial 
immediately following at Richwood Gardens.
