Darryl Tate officiating. Mrs. Cochran was born May 10, 1921 in Cheyenne, OK and passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Private burial will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville. She was a true Oklahoma cowgirl, a retired home economics teacher whose zest for life, her family, a town of cherished friends, community, church, art, dancing, feeding wildlife was evident in all she did, love for her special friend David, and her 4-legged friend "Patches" always brought a smile to her face. Her Oklahoma yell-"Yeeee haw" was a favorite expression she loved to use. She is preceded in death by her husband-Dr. Albert Bridwell Cochran. She is survived by a son-Alan Davis Cochran and wife Judy of West Monroe, LA; two daughters-Christina Jane Cochran Hollis and husband Jerry and Julie Cochran Guthrie and husband Buddy both of Rayville, LA; Special care giver- David Lynn; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charles Germany, Charles R. "Bubba" Chaney, William "Billy" Coenen, Dennis Odom, Ralph Odom and Timmie Ray Thames. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ronnie Hubbard, Tommy Nicholson, Dr. Walt Low, J. L. Harrell, Bobby Calvert, J. L. Cook, and Basil Doles, Jr. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the Family Life Center of the Rayville United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rayville United Methodist Church, Leukemia Foundation or charity of choice.
