WALTER A. JR. COLLIER


Funeral services for Walter A. "Bert" Collier, Jr., 89, of Monroe, LA will be 
at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe with Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Interment will 
follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Collier was preceded in death by his wife, Winona Louise Collier; son, 
Steven Layne Collier; and his parents.

Mr. Collier passed away Friday, February 8, 2013. He was a member of First 
Baptist Church of Monroe, the Eastern Star, Western Star Masonic Lodge in 
Monroe, and Barak Shrine in Monroe.

Survivors include his son, Gary Collier, Sr., of Houston, TX; grandson, Gary 
Collier, Jr. of Fort Hood, TX; granddaughter, Jackie Collier of Sitka, AK; two 
great grandchildren, Austin and Brian Collier; sisters, Hycinth Farrar of 
Dyersburg, TN, Berdie Mae Davis of Minden, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2013 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
