CECIL JEROME COLSON

Greenlawn Funeral Home

Rosenberg,TX

Cecil Jerome Colson was 68. He was born on January 20, 1940 in Monroe, 
Louisiana to Leon John and Myrtle Estelle Young Colson. Cecil passed away on 
September 10, 2008 in Rosenberg, TX.

Visitation will be in the Chapel at Davis Green lawn Funeral Home from 6:00 
P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 18, 2008. Funeral services will be held 
Friday, September 19, 2008 in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home at 
10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Cecil began a career in the Lumber and Building Materials Business in 1962 and 
managed operations in Louisiana, OK, TN and TX. He retired in 2000 after 38 
years in the industry.

Cecil was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Mary Jane Price Colson in 
1999; parents, and brother Donald R. Colson in 1968.

Cecil is survived by his son, Nicky J. Colson of Memphis, TN., Granddaughters, 
Nickesha Wiley of Horn Lake, MS., and Maria Lynn Colson of Memphis, TN, Cecil 
is also survived by Great-Grandchildren; Brieana, Nicholas, and Bradley of 
Horn Lake, MS., Brother; Leon Dale Colson and wife Ina of Baskin, LA., Sister-
in-law; Annabel Price Kiley of Jacksonville, FL., Aunt; Louise Young Lusby of 
Mer Rouge, LA., several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
