B. ANNETTA COLVIN 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA 

Funeral services for Ms. B. Annetta Colvin, age 61, of Shreveport, LA formerly 
of Bernice, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the First 
Baptist Church of Bernice, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lamar 
Skinner. Interment will follow at Bernice Cemetery under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Ms. Colvin was born November 18, 1947 
and passed July 11, 2009 following a lengthy illness. Ms. Colvin was a former 
employee of the Bank of Bernice, Community Trust Bank and the Pinecrest Manor 
Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bernice. She is 
preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Cleo Colvin; and a sister: Lesca 
Garland. Ms. Colvin is survived by daughter: Kerri Staggs and husband Sean of 
Shreveport; grandchildren: Ryan and Samantha Staggs of Shreveport; brothers: 
Charles E. Colvin, Jr and wife Marcia of Ruston, and Bill Colvin and wife 
Janie of Brentwood, TN; sister: Marian Roberts and husband Ricky of Smackover, 
AR.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff 
of Pierremont Health Care and Dr. Eric Smith and staff for their care given to 
Annetta during her time in Shreveport. Memorials may be made to the First 
Baptist Church in Bernice, or the American Diabetes Association. Visitation 
will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday July 13, 2009 at First Baptist Church 
in Bernice, LA
