Mildred Bushart Conger, 91, died Thursday, November 20, 1997. She was a member 
of Parkview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tigner 
Conger; parents, John and Bessie Bushart; and sister, Hattie Mai Phoebus. 

Survived by: son, C.J. "Jerry" Scates and wife Norma of Stafford, TX; 
grandsons, Craig Scates and wife Shryl of Albuquerque, NM, and Bruce Scates 
and wife Theresa of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Caron Scates 
of Albuquerque, NM, and Joshua and Jackie Scates of Houston, TX. Graveside 
Service: 11:00 am, Monday, November 24, 1997, at Monroe Memorial Park 
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Parkview 
Baptist Church, Monroe, LA.
