James Moffett officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Cooper, a retired employee of International Paper Company and a lifelong resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center. Mr. Cooper was a member of First Assembly of God. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, was passionate about his motorcycle and rode cross country trips. He loved and respected the outdoors. Mr. Cooper worked up to supervisor of the P S and D and retired after 44 years of service to International Paper Company. Mr. Cooper is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Georgia Mae Cooper; a brother, Robert Cooper; and a sister, Janet Cooper. Left to cherish his memory is Rollette Marie Huntsman of Collinston, LA; two sons, Bodie Cooper and wife Lisa of Beekman, LA, Darren Cooper and wife Kate of Sterlington, LA; one sister, Shirley Weems of Mansfield, LA; two brothers, Tony Cooper and Wife Gloria of Bastrop, LA, David Cooper and wife Glenda of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Candace Cooper, Jeremy Cooper, Layla Bray Cooper, Braylee Kate Cooper and a host of numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Carruth, Monty Carruth, Mark Graves, Rick Grimmett, Carter Craft, and Bunny Keith McKoin.
