MELISSA LYNN COOPER

Melissa "Mimi" Lynn Cooper was born on October 15, 1969 in Baton Rouge, 
Louisiana and passed away on March 5, 2013 in Monroe after a brief illness.

Survivors include her mother, Judy R. Tarver and step-father, Gene F. Tarver, 
of Monroe; father, Allen K. Cooper and step-mother, Martha Cooper, of Carencro, 
LA; brother, Dwayne A. Cooper and sister-in-law, Roxanne Cooper, of Baton 
Rouge; sister, Beverly C. Hodge and brother-in-law, Conner M. Hodge, of Monroe; 
nephews: Cooper W. Hodge, Reid Cooper, Joshua Cooper; and nieces: Madelyn C. 
Hodge and Elise Cooper.

She graduated from St. Frederick High School in 1988. She then continued her 
education at Northeast Louisiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science 
degree in General Studies.

She will always be deeply loved and fondly remembered by all her supportive 
family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to a mental health 
group of your choice.
