SHIRLEY FAYE YOUNG COOPER

Graveside services for Shirley Faye Young Cooper, 76, will be held at 1:00pm, 
Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens in W. Monroe with 
Bro. Gary Canterberry officiating and under the direction of Farrar Funeral 
Home.

Mrs. Cooper, a homemaker and retired florist, went to her heavenly home February 
8, 2016. Shirley was a Monroe native but had been a resident of Downsville for 
the past 20 years. She attended Monroe City School System, Neville High School 
and Northeast Louisiana University School of Nursing. She was married to 
Fredrick Berna Cooper and served faithfully with him for 20 years in the U. S. 
Air Force. She was a retired florist having worked with many florist in Monroe, 
W. Monroe and Farmerville. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Berna Cooper; parents, Cecil 
& Iris Young; and sister, Marie Elliott DeCokitie.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Vicky L. Cooper & friend Marvin 
Mannich; 1 grandchild, Roddy D. White, III & Tara K.; and 2 great grandchildren, 
Brennan Cole and Hayden Tanner.
