HEATH WAYNE CORNETT

Funeral services for Heath Wayne Cornett, 41, of Downsville, LA will be 
Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home, West Monroe. Alan Robertson will officiate. Interment will follow at 
Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home of West Monroe.

Heath was born in Monroe, LA on August 17, 1971 and passed away on January 20, 
2013 in West Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Lucille Sumrall, and 
W.A. and Louise Cornett.

He was employed as an assistant driller for Nabors Drilling. His favorite 
pastime was riding his red Harley Street Glide. Heath always had a smile, 
never met a stranger and would do anything he could for anybody. He loved 
entertaining his friends and having them over for grilling.

Heath is survived by wife, Terry Simpson Cornett; mother, Sue Sumrall Wilhite; 
father, Jack Cornett and wife Becky; 2 stepdaughters, Kristen Amendolia and 
Megan McEntyre; sister, Stacey Christmas and husband Chris; nephew, Caleb 
Christmas; niece, Cayli Christmas; mother-in-law, Katherine Simpson; brother-
in-law, Jerry Simpson and wife Robin; aunt, Barbara Bratton; uncle, Bill 
Cornett and wife Cindy; cousin, Mike Bratton; special friends, Ronald and 
Debbie Rankin.

Pallbearers will be Craig Hammonds, Billy Gatson, Ronald Rankin, Jerry 
Simpson, Jeffery Trichelle, James Searcy and

Peyton Brakefield.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bratton, Bradley Rhinehart, Danny 
Canterberry and Richard Horton.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
