ANITA CORRIE Boone Funeral Home Bossier City, LA Mrs. Anita Corrie, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 26, 2004 after a brief illness. The family will be receiving friends at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 6811 Woolworth Road, Shreveport, LA on Thursday evening, January 29, 2004 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A "Celebration of Life Service" will be held on Friday, January 30, 2004 at Calvary Pentecostal Church at 11:00 AM. Officiating the service will be Rev. Cecil Daniels, Pastor of Calvary Pentecostal Church, assisted by Rev. Mike Hudspeth, Pastor of King's Temple and Rev. Mark Whitehead, Pastor of Grace Tabernacle all of Shreveport. Interment will follow at the Overton Cemetery in Overton, TX. Mrs. Corrie was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Corrie. She is survived by two daughters, Le'Sann Corrie Oglethorpe and husband Terry of Montgomery, TX, Janene Corrie Daws and husband Lonnie of Shreveport, LA and one son Calvin Fredrick Corrie, II and wife Lorraine of New Rochelle, NY. Two sisters, Louise Ast, Areena Daly, one brother, James Orville Hale and wife Stacy; brother-in-law Bob L. Corrie and sister-in-law Margaret Flo Belew. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Rana Machele Oglethorpe, Tevia Rachele Oglethorpe, Calvin Fredrick "Derrick" Corrie, III, Benjamin Taylor Corrie, Jared Anthony McDonald and wife Cheryl, Brett Landon McDonald and Christopher Dean McDonald. Pallbearers will be Matthew Holloway, Gary Masters, Al McKinney, Roger Myre, John Sacker and Don Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Estes, Charles Harville, Todd Oglethorpe, Barney Staggs, Pete Swillie and Eddie Max Robinson. Mrs. Corrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and more importantly she was a faithful Christian and a prayer warrior. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
