JAMES COX

Funeral services for Mr. James Cox, 83, of Downsville, LA., will be held at 
10:00 A.M.., Saturday, June 12, 2014 at Mt. Nebo Community Church in 
Downsville, LA., with Rev. Laymond Tucker officiating. Interment will follow 
in Mt. Nebo Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of 
Farmerville.

Mr. Cox was born on March 27, 1931 in Downsville, LA, and passed away on July 
8, 2014 in Monroe, LA. He served in the military during the Korean Conflict. 
He was a Past Potentate of the Barak Shrine Temple. He was also a lifetime 
member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur 
and Myrtle Cox, brother, Arthur L. Cox, Jr., sister, Thelma Cox Thurston.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Adcock Cox; daughter, Colleen 
Cox; sons, James R. Cox, Rodney K. Cox; sisters Mattie L. Garner, and Dixie A. 
Canterbury; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be DeWayne Wright, Scott Green, John Conner, Mike Thomas, and 
Jody Brown.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Lester Johnston

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. 
at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
