MR. ELVIN D. CRAWFORD

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Elvin D. Crawford, 68, of West Monroe, will be held on 
Sunday, December 28th, 2008, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Harvest 
Assembly of God with Pastor Randy Bardwell and Rev. Huey Diffey officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Mt Zion Cemetery under the direction of the 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Born February 9th, 1940, in Richland Parish, LA, he was a son of the late Edgar 
J. and Mary M. Maxwell Crawford. Mr. Crawford passed away December 26th, 2008, 
following a valiant struggle with cancer. A US Army veteran and a barber for 
over 46 years, Mr. Crawford was a member of the Harvest Assembly of God and 
sang for many years with the Gospel Sounds singing group. He loved to garden 
and work outdoors and was loved and a friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, L Marie 
Jarrett, Maxine Upton, Lavon Bennett and by his brother, Eldred Crawford.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Crawford; 2 daughters, 
Cindy Minton and husband, Mike, and Carla Pilgreen and husband, Shannon; 5 
grandchildren, Garrett Kent, Mikayla Pilgreen, Ashley Evans, Tyler Schweinefus, 
and Megan Minton; a brother, Melvin Crawford and wife, Sandy; and a number of 
nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elvin D. Crawford Medical Fund at the 
Community Trust Bank.

Active pallbearers are Shannon Pilgreen, Mike Minton, Danny Witherington, Rusty 
Flowers, Mark Upton, and Brian Barfoot.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Gospel Sounds singing group.
