CHARLES D. CRAWFORD

Charles D. Crawford, 82, of Lake Providence, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, 
January 23, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mr. Crawford was born August 15, 1933, in Wichita Falls, Texas, son of the late 
Lloyd Otis and Leora Isabelle Moss Crawford. After high school in Archer City, 
Texas, he attended Decatur Baptist College and married Mary Ann Rankin on June 
28, 1953, in Lockney, Texas.

Mr. Crawford was a Texas Highway Patrolman before becoming a farmer and will be 
remembered as an innovative agriculture producer with a passion and dedication 
for God, family, and friends.

He is survived by his son, Danny C. Crawford of Eudora, Arkansas; daughter and 
son-in-law, Kay and Nelson Shepherd of New Orleans, Louisiana; grandchildren, 
Megan Shaw of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lise Moore of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ann Claire 
Crawford of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Kanna Shepherd of New Orleans, Louisiana; 
three great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Pat Crawford 
of Bentonville, Arkansas; a sister, Janice Crawford Rhea of Austin, Texas; and 
special family member & caregiver, Katie M. Lane of Lake Providence, Louisiana.

Mr. Crawford is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Crawford; brothers, 
Lloyd Otis Crawford, Jr., Paul Troy Crawford, Billy Ray Crawford, John Wesley 
Crawford; sisters Shirley Christine Crawford Beall and Mary Frances Crawford.

Visitation will be on January 28th at 1:00 p.m. with the memorial following at 
2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 304 First Street, Lake Providence, 
Louisiana.
