CREW Funeral services for Mrs. Sue R. Crew, 81, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ben Bateman and Rev. George Wortham officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Sue was born May 27, 1931 in Monroe, LA and passed away Sunday morning January 6, 2013 in West Monroe. Mrs. Sue faithfully served as office manager of Salley Transport for over 35 years, and upon retirement, she became office manager and surrogate Mimi at Debbie's School of Dance and the Debbie Bourg Dancer's. Mrs. Sue loved music and was a performer with the Best of Broadway and the Little Theatre of Monroe, as well as a patron of the Miss Louisiana Pageant. She was also active in the community serving as a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder and member of the church choir, the Cultura Book Club, and the Ministry of Inspirational Therapy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vertis and Gladys Rawls, and her husband, Harold Crew. She is survived by her two children, Debbie Bourg and husband Lawrence, and Paul Crew and wife, Shea; her three grandchildren, Brittany Streetman and husband, Justin, Kelsey Tanner and husband, Jason, and Keely Crew; her three great grandchildren, Braylon Streetman, Eli Tanner, and Paisley Tanner. Pallbearers will be Justin Streetman, Jason Tanner, Herb Holliman, Bobby Lawrence, Harry Liner, Dub Hatten, Alan Foster, and Ted Foster. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday January 8, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the account of Braylon Streetman at Regions Bank, M. D. Anderson Cancer Research Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to express special heartfelt thanks to Chonita Higgins, Debra Caples, Linda McKinnie, Tammy Alford, Jack Dement and the staff of the Franciscan House and Louisiana Hospice for their special love and compassionate care.
