MRS. VIOLET ELIZABETH CROOKS

Jena, LA

Services for Mrs. Violet Elizabeth Crooks will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, 
November 20, 2008 in the Hixson Brothers Chapel under the directions of Hixson 
Brothers of Jena, LA. with Rev. Johnnie Phillips officiating. Interment will 
follow in Jena Cemetery.

Mrs. Crooks, 86, of Jena, LA was born in Goldonna, LA. September 18, 1922 and 
passed from this life on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at her residence in Jena, 
LA.

She was a home maker, worked with the LaSalle Council on Aging and a "Pink 
Lady" at LaSalle General Hospital.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Elizabeth Breithaupt of West Monroe, 
LA.; Two Grandchildren; Three Great Grandchildren; and a Host of Nieces and 
Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crooks; Parents Marion C. and 
Mary Pauline Martin; Daughter Debbie Crooks; Seven brothers, Ted Martin, Homer 
Martin, Lonnie Martin, Bill Martin, Tony Martin, Happy Martin and Huey Martin 
and Four sisters, Irene McKinney, Helen Martin Sparks, Nell Martin and Lena 
Maglich.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Hutchins, Buster Sharp, Wayne Davis, Billy Smith, 
Chuck Schatzle, and Van Dale Evans.
