IRVIN ROGERS CROWELL

Funeral services for Irvin Rogers Crowell, 86, of Eros will be 10:00 AM 
Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Luna Assembly of God Church with Rev. Joel 
Brackett officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. 

Mr. Crowell was born September 25, 1926 in Eros, LA and passed away January 
13, 2013 at the NE Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was a retired Sergeant in 
the US Air Force having served in WW II and The Korean Conflict. He later 
retired as a welder from General Motors Shreveport Plant. He was a member of 
Luna Assembly of God Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Clemmie Crowell; son, 
Michael Crowell; brother, Raymond Crowell; sisters, Elaine Dowdy and Erma 
Blume.

Mr. Crowell is survived by his wife, Kressie Myers Crowell; son, Roger Crowell 
and wife, Jan; 2 daughters, Sharon Wren, Carla Thornell and husband, Sheldon; 
stepson Thomas Younse and wife, Judy; sisters, Evelyn Owens and husband, Tom, 
Media Sanders and husband, Carroll; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, 
and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Crowell, Ronald Crowell, Darrell Owens, Tommy 
Younse, Joey Myers and Jimmie Bailey.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 15 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Luna Assembly of 
God Church.

The family wishes to thank the NE Louisiana Veterans Home for all of their 
kindness and care. We would also like to thank his roommate, Mr. James Darby, 
for his care and prayers.
