SHIRLEY ANN GOLSON CROWWELL

Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Golson Crowell, 77, of West Monroe, LA 
will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 27, 2014, in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 
in West Monroe with Pastors Tony Cassels and Roy Duffey officiating. Interment 
will be at Frantom Chapel Cemetery in Eros, LA.

Mrs. Crowell was born to the union of Thomas J. Golson and Elsie Taylor Golson 
in Ouachita Parish on February 16, 1937, and passed from this life on April 
24, 2014, in Monroe, LA. She was a member of Clarks Spring Baptist Church. 
Mrs. Crowell loved cooking, playing cards, her animals, and her flower garden. 
She loved spending time with her family and friends, laughing and talking. 
Mrs. Crowell especially enjoyed family "get-to-gethers" while reminiscing of 
old times. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt. She 
was 'Mamaw" to her grandchildren and "Aunt Shirley" to so many that knew her. 
Mrs. Crowell is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. Golson and Elsie 
Taylor Golson; two sisters, Elaine Golson and Juanita Golson Cantrell; 
husband, Elvin Joyce Crowell; and son, Stephen Kyle Crowell.

Survivors include: daughter, Karen Pace and her husband Matthew; two 
grandchildren, Taylor Crowell and Kendall Pace; daughter in law, Angie Crowell 
Miller; brother, Thomas Wayne Golson, Sr. and his wife, Patsy; special loving 
friend and companion, Jim Ridings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Golson, David Golson, Troy Golson, Jason Davis, 
Jeremy Calhoun, and Jarrod Golson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 
2014, at Griffin Funeral Home.
