Mr. Culp was born December 20, 1932 and died December 3, 2015. He was a long- time resident of Monroe. He was a retired Psychiatric Social Worker with 40 years of devoted service and was one of the first social workers to be licensed by the State of Louisiana. Mr. Culp graduated from the old Ouachita Parish High School on South Grand Street in 1951. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Northeast Louisiana State College and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University with a major in Psychiatric Social Work. Mr. Culp was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Thomas Culp; brothers, J. L. Culp, Walter Culp, Gary Culp; and sister, Eleene Eaves. Survivors include his children, Rhonda Fox, Janet Sachrison, and David Culp. He had five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Walton Culp, Troy Culp, Katie Barker, Patsy Hull, Shirley Boyte, and Helen Parks. The family wishes to thank all of the friends who assisted Mr. Culp in his latter years, including Dr. Charles Morgan and staff at Christus St. Joseph's Assisted Living. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that any memorial contributions be directed to a charity of choice .
