LAWRENCE DAFFIN CULPEPPER

Dr. Lawrence D. Culpepper, 81, beloved husband, father, and Papa, passed away 
peacefully in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 9, 2024, after a short battle 
with pancreatic cancer. Larry was born December 24, 1942, in Washington D.C. to 
Nathalie Oakley Culpepper. He was a graduate of Bolton High School in Alexandria 
(1961) and attended Northwestern State University and LSU before graduating from 
the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis (1969). In June of 1967, he 
married Kay Branch of Monroe. Larry served in the U.S. Navy before establishing 
a dental practice in Monroe in 1977. Preceding him in death was his mother, 
Nathalie Oakley Culpepper. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kay Branch 
Culpepper; children, Amy Culpepper Landreneau and Brett Culpepper (Kristie); 
grandchildren, Claire Landreneau Poole (Nathan), Caroline Landreneau, Alexander 
Landreneau, Reid Culpepper, and Harris Culpepper; sister, Nathalie Culpepper; as 
well as a host of treasured family and friends. A memorial service will be held 
at Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge on February 15 following a visitation 
from 10:30-11:30. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Culpepper, Reid Culpepper, 
Harris Culpepper, Alexander Landreneau, Nathan Poole, Sandy Ewing, Mac 
Atteberry, and Lanny Harris. The family requests that any memorials be made to
