MRS. BETTY PIERCE CUMMINGS 

Hixson Brothers, Inc.
Alexandria, LA

Services for Mrs. Betty Pierce Cummings will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, 
February 11, 2004 in Pineville First United Methodist Church with Dr. Ralph 
Ford, Dr. Henry Blount and Reverend Jimmie Pyles officiating. Burial will be in 
Greenwood Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Mrs. Cummings, 71, Pineville died Sunday, February 8, 2004, in Rapides Regional 
Medical Center.
Mrs. Cummings was a member of Pineville First United Methodist Church, the 
United Methodist Women, a member of the Chancel Choir, a member of the worship 
committee and Chapter AH of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Mrs. Cummings was preceded in death by her son, David P. Cummings, M.D. and 
parents, Julie Love and Willie D. Roberts Pierce.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Kermit C. Cummings of 
Pineville; son, Greg Cummings and wife Donna of Jacksonville; daughter, Cathy 
Powell and her husband Ronnie of Pineville; daughter-in-law, Wanda Cummings and 
her husband Chuck Lee of West Monroe; grandchildren, Elizabeth Cummings Woodall 
and her husband Andrew, Charles Paris, Justin Cummings, Sara Scheffler, Brian 
Cummings, Dani Lee, Anna Cummings, Laura Cummings, Daniel Esquibel, Allison Lee 
and Emily Cummings.
Friends may call Tuesday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 PM until 8:00 
PM and Wednesday at Pineville First Methodist Church from 9:00 AM until service 
time.
Memorials may be made to Pineville First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 
2550 Monroe Hwy., Pineville, LA 71360.
Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Powell, Chuck Lee, Charles Paris, Justin Cummings, 
Andrew Woodall, Brian Cummings, and Daniel Esquibel.
Honorary pallbearers: members of the couple's prayer group, Charles Goodgame, 
Roane Hathorn, James Lowe, Cannon Matthews and Bill Wisenbaker.
