Pastor Daniel Goodman and Pastor Mark Dallalio will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Sue was born in Fork Shoals, SC to sharecropper parents. She learned the value of hard work and sacrifice being reared in that setting. After completing business college in Greenville, she moved to Natchez, MS and worked in the Westside Baptist Church for her brother who was the pastor. There, she met John whom she later married. The Lord moved them to Monroe in 1961 where they later planted the Maranatha Baptist Church in Feb. of 1964. She was a true servant. She served her Lord, family, church, and the faculty/students of Shady Grove Elementary School where she was employed until retirement in 1995. After retiring, her life was spent serving her church in various ministries to children. She visited children weekly to get them to ride the church van to Sunday school and served in the nursery every Sunday morning until her health no longer allowed. She was involved in many facets of the church, mostly serving behind the scenes. She was faithful to her Savior, husband, family and church until her death. She is survived by her husband: John; two sons: Mark Dallalio & wife Debra of Carrollton, TX and Dan Dallalio and wife Tammy of West Monroe; and one brother: Marion and wife Tommie of Mauldin, SC. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jarin, Jonathon, Jordan, and Jessica, and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Monroe.
